Dr. Mazzullo joins the team at NSW with a commitment to provide exemplary obstetrical and gynecological care to women in all stages in life. Her experience has allowed her to be a competent and compassionate caregiver and educator. Dr. Mazzullo is fully committed to her patients’ best health through preventive health care, state-of-the-art technology, and education.
Dr. Mazzullo has a particular interest in preconception health, high risk pregnancies, including twins and advanced maternal age, hypertension, minimally invasive surgery, operative hysteroscopy, and fibroid management. Dr. Mazzullo has been an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University Medical School since 1997. She continues to be an avid mentor and educator to medical students and residents specializing in obstetrics and gynecology, taking great pride in having received numerous teaching awards over the years. She was an oral board examiner at the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2000-2022, contributing to the maintenance of excellence of physicians in her field. Dr. Mazzullo received her B.A. in Biochemistry at Queens College in New York. She is a graduate of New York Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Massachusetts, where she acted as Chief Resident. She is also the co-author of “Before Your Pregnancy,” a comprehensive guide for couples on preconception health (Ballantine 5/2011).
In her free time, Dr. Mazzullo enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. She also enjoys romping with her golden doodle, Mr. Darcy Parker, who is also her personal trainer ensuring that she gets at least 10K steps a day.
